Larry J Stanley, was born in Sweetwater, Texas, on April 30, 1942, and passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on July 3, 2021, in Fredericksburg, Texas. Larry was the son of Mary Evelyn (Land) and Carl Henry Stanley.

He was a proud Sweetwater Mustang and a Texas Tech Red Raider.

While on leave from the Air Force in 1964, he met Bonnie May at the beach and the two got married a few months later.

In December 2020, they celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. They raised their daughters, Lori and Susan, in San Antonio, later moving to Santa Fe, NM, and then to Highlands Ranch, CO, before retiring to Fredericksburg, TX, in 2004.

He was a wonderful "girl dad", had a great sense of humor, was an avid Spurs fan, and a proud PopPop. He was very much loved and will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Evelyn Stanley; and his brother, Don Stanley.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his daughters, Lori Iannelli and Susan Rodgers; sons-in-law, Frank Iannelli and Bruce Rodgers; grandchildren: Matt Iannelli, Emily Rodgers, Sarah Iannelli and Ben Rodgers.
