The son of James and Sarah, Samuel Robertson was b. cir 1777 in VA. He married 17 Feb 1801 in Mercer Co., KY, to Jane "Jenny" Fulkerson who was born cir. 1779 in Somerset Co., NJ. She was the daughter of Philip Fulkerson and Elizabeth Bruner. Shortly after marriage, they moved from Mercer Co., KY to Ohio Co., KY and later, about 1830, to Burnt Prairie, White Co., IL. Samuel and Jenny were charter members of the Mt. Pleasant (Primitive Baptist) Church near Burnt Prairie. Both Samuel and Jenny died 1845 in White Co., IL and are buried in Burnt Prairie (White) IL. Samuel and Jenny had children Philip C., James, Adam, and Elizabeth.
