Polish ruler consort. She was Princess of Sweden of the Bielbo Dynasty, one of the daughters of King Waldemar and Queen Sophia. She became Grand Duchess of Poland as married to Grand Duke Przemyslaw II whose title was that of the Polish ruler at the time (after her death he became King of Poland). Her life years are approximate; she was born between 1265 and 1270 and died before or in 1292. In English she has also been called Rixa. Her name in Polish was Ryksa Waldemarówna szwedzka. Though her father was deposed as King of Sweden in 1275, her marriage plans still went ahead and the wedding took place by proxy (a delegate from Poland representing the groom) at Nyköping in 1285 without her father's consent. Her parents were divorced by then. She and the Grand Duke had one daughter before she died and her husband was remarried. Nevertheless, he decided that he would be buried next her and that took place when he was assassinated in 1296.
