Erna Leona St. John, 87, died Thursday, March 17, 1983 in Abilene.

Services were held Saturday March 19, 1983 in the First Baptist Church of Mobeetie. The Rev. Ralph Hovey, pastor and the Rev. Aaron Laverty, former pastor, officiated. Burial was in Mobeetie Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Pallbearers were Paul Hathaway, Chuck Hogan, Lester Leonard, Melvin May, Randy McCurly and Albert Trout.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert St. John of Beloit, Wisc., and Byron St. John of El Campo; two daughters, Louise Hogan of Euless and Edith Cross of Abilene; a brother, Lindsay Andrews of Roswell, N.M.; three sisters, Mrs. Nida Ross of Yucaipa, Calif., Mrs. Beuna Rodarmel of Riveria, Ariz., and Mrs. Alamerene Bean of Childress; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
