CHILDRESS, Texas - Almarene Bean, 77, died Sunday at her home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike McKinney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Wheeler, Texas, Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors.

She was born July 29, 1929 [sic] in Melrose, N.M.

She and Grey L. Bean were married in May 1939 in Clovis, N.M. She moved to Childress in 1957.

Survivors include Leon Bean of El Paso, Texas; a brother, Lindsay Andrews of Roswell, N.M.; two sisters Nida Ross of Yuciapa, Calif. and Beuna Rodarmel of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
