Daughter of Jacob Henry Hall ( 1870-1949) and Florence Gregg Hall (1874-1932). Born after family came to Arizona Territory from Coryell Co. Texas. Married Fred Leonard Brooks in Las Vegas, Clark Co Nv on April 8 1932. They had one son Fredrick Richard Brooks.
She spend the majority of her life in her birthplace Chloride. She attended the 4 room school in Chloride.
In 1960 she moved to Kingman an trilled customers and the locals with her windows at Central Comerical Store down town for many years. This was her first job, and her artistic ability soon became well known. Phyllis became a local artist famous for her desert paintings. In 1962 She filfilled her lifetime desire to paint. Grad. from Artist's School. She had a gallery called The Little Art Gallery with friend Nita Tucker in Kingman.
Many of her Great nephews and nieces, got to pick a painting for a wedding present. What a joy, and they are treasured many years later.
She was a wonderful Wife, Mother, and Aunt to all of us, Her memory warms our hearts. Your missed and loved so very much.
