Daughter of Jacob Henry Hall and Florence Gregg. Born in Nursey (Purnela) Victoria County, Texas.
At 6 months old she moved with her parents to Camp Verde, Yavapai, Arizona Territory then Cloride, Mohave County, Arizona.
When she was 9 she met her husband Richard O. French. He was a cowboy working a ranch nearby. He moved on and later came back and married her on 16 October 1915 in her parents' home. (Chloride AZ)
They later moved to Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona. They had 3 children: Helen Leone, Lois Noreen and Eustace Alexander French.
When Lois Noreen was 12, they moved to Chino, California where they owned a chicken ranch. After the children were grown, they moved to Redondo Beach and later to Seal Beach. After Richard's death, Gladys moved to Ojai, Ventura County, California to be close to daughter Noreen and her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. About 1980 she lived with her daughter, and moved in with son Eustace in Canyonville, Douglas County, Oregon.
We lost her at age 94. What a loving and wonderful grandmother she was to all us grandkids. Her great and great-great grandkids have such fond memories of a loving great-grandmother. We will miss you always.
