Betty Edwards Cravens, age 86, of Athens, passed away on Sunday January 9, 2022 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Betty was born August 9, 1935 in Tallula, Illinois, the daughter of Duke and Rose (Peterson) Irwin.
She married Norman Edwards on June 3, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1991. Betty later married Danny Cravens on December 19, 1998 and he also preceded her in death in 2005.
Mourning her passing are a daughter, a son, daughter-in-law, seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Also preceding her in death is a son, Terry Edwards in 2008.
Betty worked for the State of Illinois for most of her life, retiring from Illinois EPA in 2008.
Private services will be held.
