Ethel Mae Johnson Pegram, 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday July 14, 2016.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday July 16, 2016 at 11:00am at Snow Hill Cemetery in Snow Hill NC. Officiating will be Jimmy Pegram. The family will have a gathering of friends on Friday July 15, 2016 from 2:00 to 3:00pm at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services and Cremations Chapel in Kernersville, NC.
Mae was born July 25 1920 in Greenville, NC to the Late Claude and Sudie Allen.
Mae had a passion to work with her hands; she loved gardening and beautiful flowers. Mae worked for 25 years in the hosiery business with Burlington Industries in Kernersville, NC. Mae lived a very simple but a good life.
Mae was also preceded in death by her first husband Marion Johnson and second husband Rober Lee Pegram, and ten brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish wonderful memories is her only child, son Rex Johnson and wife Darlene of Kernersville, NC; two grandsons, Marion Allen Johnson of King, NC and Jason Andrew Johnson of Kernersville, NC; Three great grandchildren Rose , Hunter , McKenzie Johnson all of Kernersville, NC and a number of nieces and nephews.
Rex and Darlene would like to give a special thanks to Mae's neighbors for the dedication and help they provided for their mom over the years and a special thanks to Agatha and Donald Martin.
