On Thursday morning about 3:00 o’clock on May 21st, 1925, the Death Angel visited the home of Mrs. Ruth Baty and claimed the spirit of her dear husband.

He is survived by his widow, two sons and one daughter.

He was 38 years of age, a member of the Baptist church at Concord, was a good Christian man and was loved by all who knew him – he is gone, but not forgotten.

Mr. Baty suffered with cancer of the brain several months. His death came as a great shock to the community. He has paid the debt we will all have to pay sooner or later. He cannot come back to us but we can go to him..

His remains were laid to rest in Tidwell Cemetery, funeral services were conducted by Rev. H.C. Bradley.

Excerpts by R.E. and M.I.
