DEATH OF HER FATHER

C. F. Haynes, of Lohrville, father of Mrs. A. B. Canady of Lake View, passed away Sunday evening at about 7:30 o'clock p.m. Two weeks ago yesterday he underwent an operation at the Lake City hospital. The disease appeared to be gall bladder trouble but upon making the exploratory operation, it was discovered that the patient was suffering with cancer.He was taken to his home Saturday afternoon. Mr. Haynes was about 66 years of age, and is survived by his wife, and by the following [7] children: Elza Haynes, of Farnhamville; Joe Haynes, of Winterset; Jack Haynes, of Lohrville; Dee Haynes, of Omaha; Mrs. Frank Summers, of Farnhamville; Mrs. Carson Cram, of Lake City; and Mrs. A. B. Canady, Lake View.
He and his wife had lived practically all their life in Lohrville since their marriage.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Christian Church at Lohrville. Those attending the funeral from Lake View, besides the members of the Canady family, were W. F. Brower and wife, D. J. Wright and wife, L. A. Warwick and wife, and C. P. Therkelsen and wife.
