Roger Dale Lewis, better known as Jed, age 76 of West Jefferson, died Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Ashe Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Lewis was born October 25, 1945, in Ashe County to the late Eugene and Virginia Lewis.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Lewis.

Left to cherish his memories are his one son, Bryan Lewis, and wife Beverly of West Jefferson, daughters, Karen White of Alexander County and Robin Rowe of Florida, brother, Danny Lewis of West Jefferson, sisters, Racine Eldreth and Mary Lewis both of West Jefferson and Christine Stephens of Creston and grandchild, Kinsey Lewis; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tim Roten. Burial will follow in the Lewis Kemp Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the service.
