KRESS - Cecil Robinson, 92, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in Lubbock.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview with the Rev. Dan Reynolds, pastor of Family Church in Lubbock, officiating. Private burial will be in Kress Cemetery.

Mrs. Robinson was born Oct. 19, 1915, in Hunt County to Virgil and Jessie Pharr. She grew up in Childress County and graduated from Carey High School. She married Clint Robinson on Sept. 8, 1934, in Lakeview. They moved to Kress in 1945.

She was a devoted homemaker and helpmate to Clint and was very supportive and instrumental in his business successes. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kress, where she was very active and taught Sunday school. She had been a member of Kress Study Club since 1958. The Robinson family was honored as the Master Farm Family of Texas in 1964. Her husband, Clint Robinson, died on Dec. 9, 2005.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Wedgewood South Assisted Living Center for their devotion and care of Mrs. Robinson.

She is also preceded in death by a son, three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Luther and Barb Robinson of Angel Fire, N.M.; two sisters, Ernestine Sitton of Lubbock and Jo Dell Stallings of Claremore, Okla.; two granddaughters, Vicki Smithson and husband Randy of Lubbock and Robbie Matamoros and husband Paul of Frisco; four great-grandchildren, Parker and Whit Smithson of Lubbock and Logan and Macie Matamoros of Frisco.

The family suggests memorials be to Kress Cemetery or a favorite charity.
