She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. She later obtained her Certification in Phlebotomy. She retired as a Lead Phlebotomist Trainer with CompuNet Clinical Laboratory at Miami Valley Hospital after working 35 years.
Patricia "Pat" was known for her humorous personality, facial expressions that will definitely let you know what she was thinking. She was also known for baking, which means she bought it from the store. Pat made sure everyone had a cup of coffee in the morning via text and to let you know to have a great day. If you ever heard her, tell you, "Ooooh, I'm scared of you", that meant you were looking good that day. She was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by brother, Robert Heard; sisters, Linda Jackson and Cynthia Brooks; grandson, Dequan Heard.
She leaves to cherish her memories, children, Talmadge Heard of Dayton, Felicia Heard of Dayton, Roderick Heard of Knoxville, TN, Tamar Heard of Dayton, and Mia (Gregory) Hubbard of Dayton; sisters, Carolyn Woodson of Columbus, OH, Gwendolyn Underwood of Fairborn, OH, and Marilyn Ransby of Dayton; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Walk-through visitation 11 am-1 pm Tuesday, January 11, at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Funeral service at 1 pm. (Mask Required). Interment Shiloh Park Cemetery.
