❦ Early Life: Betty Joyce was born July 5, 1946, to William Lunt Black and Hilma Elizabeth Burge Black, in Blanding, Utah, where she lived until going to college.
❦ Life's Work | Service | Interests: She attended Brigham Young University, studying home economics. While attending school, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Wayne McHenry, and shortly after they were married. Through their 53 years of marriage, she was the proud parent of 12 children and "Granny" to 47 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. During her 75-year journey on this earth, she brought joy to the lives of others through her famous chocolate chip cookies, her contagious laugh, and her love of the gospel. In the community, she helped kids cross the street as a crossing guard for over 20 years at Rock Canyon Elementary. Betty Joyce Black McHenry passed from this life January 3, 2022.
