"Kristina Adams Bruno, 69, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away June 20, 2019, at her home. She was born December 6, 1949, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Charles "Mose" Adams and Freda Y. Haney Adams. Kristi moved to Shawnee with her family when she was in grade school and graduated from Shawnee High School with the Class of 1967. She worked for the City of Shawnee for many years, first with the police department and then with the fire department where she retired. Kristi was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Michael "Big Mike" Adams, her aunts, Opal Haney and Hazel Rottenberry, and one first cousin, Tanya Abney. She is survived by her son, Shane Bruno of the home, one brother and his wife, Chuck and Shirley Adams, one niece Jamie Bergsten and her husband David, and one nephew, Shawn Adams and his wife Kelli.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 1, at 2pm at Wesley United Methodist Church. Jimmy Gibson, retired Shawnee Fire Chief, and Jim Ogle, chaplain for the Shawnee Fire Department, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Chris Dodson. In lieu of flowers please donate in Kristi's memory to the pet rescue of your choice."
