Mr. Adams came to Oklahoma Baptist University as a student and football player in 1932. He was a member of the first school conducted to train state highway patrolmen in 1937. Mr. Adams resigned after more than 23 years with the patrol to become the Shawnee tag agent. He was a member of the Coast Guard during World War II. Mr. Adams was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. He served as past president of the Shawnee Roundup Club and held membership in the Retired Troopers Assn., the Shawnee Lions Club, and the OBU Lettermen's Club. Mr. Adams also served on the board of directors of the Oklahoma Tag Agents' Assn.
