They fell in love and married on December 2, 1827 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England when she was 16 years old, and as a result her family disowned her. Ann had three sons, Henry II, Ambrose, & Thomas. After two of her sons came to America, she traveled over with her husband and granddaughter (daughter Mary Ann Howell of Henry #2) in approx. 1865.
Ann Austin Howell died in October 1880 in Andover, Massachusetts, when she was 69 years old.
