Dan Briggs, 74 of Grant, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, at the Perkins County Hospital in Grant.

Dan was born January 10, 1947, at Imperial, Nebraska, to Charles and Eula (McKinster) Briggs. He graduated from Grant High School with a class of 1965.

In June 1966, Dan entered the US Marine Corps. Following his discharge, he returned home and farmed. On August 1, 1970, Dan married Shari Speck, and their union was blessed with four sons.

Dan farmed the majority of his life. He would eventually own and operate Carquest in Imperial, which was the manifestation of his love of fixing old machinery.

Dan loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed restoring old tractors.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Michelle, and an infant great-grandson.

Dan is survived by his wife, fours sons, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Burial with military honors will be at 2:00 CT at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell.
