Genevieve was born in a small farming community in southern Minnesota on December 2, 1920. She was married twice. After her first husband (last name Johns) died, she married Elder Bill Bothe. She and Bill had no children together. In 2006 she was living in Loma Linda, California. For a time she also lived at Desert Hot Springs, California. At death, her body was cremated and her ashes buried at Sunnyslope cemetery in Banning, California.
