It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Connie Cheryl Cross, age 57, of Trenton, GA. She passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021, surrounded by those she loved most. Her love of life along with her struggles gave everyone she met a remarkably different perspective of their circumstances. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Connie's direct candor and sense of humor will live in the hearts of many for years to come.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl E. Cross; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stephens, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cross; loving aunt, Gertha Stephens; uncles, Bernard Stephens, Andy Newby and Roy Stephens.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Bertha Stephens Cross; brother, Mark Cross; nephew, Zach Cross; niece, Beth Cross; aunts, Betty Keith, Shirley Stephens, Kathleen Newby and Janet Hixon.

Childhood friends are rare treasures and Connie was very fortunate to have two such treasures DeeDee Humphrey and Onvil Moore were always there anytime she needed them. Connie was also very thankful Courtney Hammett came into her life and appreciated her friendship, support and willingness to help anyway she could. Connie loved to laugh and had a mischievous nature. Which she shared with her best friend of 32 years Tracey Nunley.

She was a graduate of Northwest Georgia High School and McKenzie Business College.
