Benny E. Rose, age 81 passed away at the Marion General Hospital on December 30, 2021. Benny was Born August 07, 1940, to the late Jessie and Hattie (Wallace) Rose in Clintwood, VA. On October 21, 1961 Benny married Ima (Moore) Rose who preceded him in death June 11, 2003. Benny married his wife Phyllis (Jarvis) Adams on July 11, 2005

Benny worked at Clark Metal 1965 until they closed in 2000. He worked at Pleasant Local schools until he retired 2003. He was a former member and deacon at the White Oaks Baptist Church. Benny loved to hunt and fish, for whatever would bite the hook. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Benny is survived by his sons; Benny H. (Jill) Rose and Danny (Lynn) Rose, daughter Jennifer (Bryan) Gross, good friend and brother-in-law Gerald (Kay) Moore, grandchildren; Kyle (Amanda) Johnson, Derek (Lorrie) Johnson, Rachel (Adam) Banks, Abby (Jack) Langenkamp, Amber (Brandon) Austin and Jessica Rose, 8 great-grandchildren not including 2 on the way and many nieces and nephews.

Benny was preceded in death by Brothers; Charles (Irene), Floyd (Betty), and Tony (Ruth) Dutton, sisters; Francis (Hie) Mullins, Mable (Thadis) Short and Christine (Dan) Beam.

Friends and family are invited to call Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Boyd Funeral with the funeral taking place at 12:00pm at the Boyd Funeral Home with Pastor Grover Caudill officiating. There will be a committal service taking place immediately following the funeral service at the Green Camp Cemetery. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Benny Rose in their time of need.
