Obituary
On the morning of December 28, 2021, Mr. Leonard Cunningham Sr. peacefully passed away at his Hohenwald home surrounded by his loving family. Leonard was born in Tulsa, OK on June 16, 1935 to the late Hugh Cameron and Elvia Ruby Eagley Cunningham.

Mr. Cunningham is also preceded in death by his son Gerald Cunningham, and his siblings John Cunningham, Ruby Johnson, David Cunningham, Tommy Cunningham, and Ethel Bailey; and granddaughter Amanda Ayers.

If there was ever a smile that no one could forget, it was the smile of Leonard. He lit up any room and was certain to leave a lasting impression. He was a kind, loving, gentle soul that was loved by all that knew him.

Leonard leaves behind his loving wife Sheila Richards Cunningham; children Beverly Ann (Jeff) Crist, Deborah Gail (Jim) Hardesty, Harold (Laura) Cunningham Jr., Jennifer (Jim) Potignano, and Cindy (Keith) Ayers; and two brothers James (Tammy) Cunningham and George (Francis) Cunningham. He will also be remembered by his grandchildren Jason (Jamie) Smith, Justin Smith, Jeffery Swearingen, B.J. Swearingen, Brittney Leftwhich, Sarah (Zack) Swinea, Mariah (Spencer) Green, and Aaron James Cunningham; and great grandchildren Lilly and Lexi Swinea, Jasmine Hardesty, Jackson Leftwhich, Peyton, Parker, Presley, Tyler, and Austin Smith.

Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday December 30, 2021, from 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm at General Assembly Church in Hohenwald. Ms. Debbie Landers will be officiating.

Adair Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
