A Madison Co. native, Mrs. Goforth was a daughter of the late Pleasant and Chestina Lunsford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Curtis Walter Goforth, who died in 1999.
Mrs. Goforth was formerly active in the Foster Grandparents Organization and also was involved with walkathons associated with the Senior Olympics. She was a faithful and devoted member of West Asheville Church of God, where she attended for many years.
Mrs. Goforth is survived by her daughter Barbara Crisafulli and husband Salvatore, of Baltimore, MD; son, William C. Goforth and wife Christine, of Cherokee; sister, Rachel Fallow, of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
