George Edris, 79, of Atlanta, brother of Jerome Edris of Mulberry, died Friday afternoon in the Tipton County hospital, Tipton, after an illness of six weeks.
Born near Dayton, he lived in this vicinity and West Lafayette before moving to Atlanta 12 years ago. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. In 1900 he married Florence Roberts, who died in 1939.
Surviving are a son, William of Atlanta; a sister, Mrs. Dora McCray of Stockwell, and the brother in Mulberry.
Also surviving are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One of the grandchildren is James Schultz, son of John Schultz of Mulberry.
Services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Dwight Baker Funeral Home in Dayton, with burial in the Dayton cemetery.
