Marion Lou Allred Shrewsbury Scott, 89, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 24, in Tulsa, OK. Born on 07 Aug 1932 to Sarah Winnie and William Marion Allred in Hobart, OK, she graduated from Hobart High School in 1950. That same year, she married H. James Shrewsbury, a Hobart classmate who pursued a life-long career as a sales representative for Moore Business Forms. Jim died in 1981. In 1983, she married Dr. Charles E. Scott, a polymer chemist and executive for Oxy Petroleum. Charles died in 2007.
Marion received Jesus into her life and was baptized at age 12 at First Baptist Church of Hobart, OK. Marion was very active in the national University of Oklahoma alumnae organization.
She is survived by a son, Kirk Shrewsbury (Tulsa, OK), and a daughter, Karen Mackey (Buffalo, NY), two step daughters, Susan Wishnow (Philadelphia, PA) and Lizann Scott (Philadelphia, PA), 5 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
