Ruth Nelson Miner, age 91, of Hooper, Utah formerly of Wakefield, Nebraska passed away Tuesday December 21, 2021, at the McKay - Dee Hospital Center in Ogden, Utah.

She was born July 25, 1930 on a farm outside of Wakefield, Nebraska to David Eugene Nelson & Eleanor Christine Borg. She was their third child born after Gillis, David Jr. and before John.

She married Laurel L. Miner June 24, 1951 and later divorced in 1976. They had four children, Leland Kirsten, Bradley Eugene, and twins Trudy Elnora (Allison) and Troxl David. She later married Sture Lindgren of Huskvarna, Sweden where she helped to raise stepchildren, Anne Lindgren, Lena Lindgren and Eva Lindgren.

Ruth attended a country school in her youth and later public school where she graduated high school in 1947. She then attended Wayne State Teachers College and achieved a teaching degree and taught in country schools in Wayne and Dixon Counties. She later attended Wayne State College to obtain her Bachelors in Education in 1972 and taught Art in Wakefield High School and in Huskvarna Public School in Sweden. She was active in the Dixon County Historical Society where she often would perform "Chalk Talks". She was a very talented and creative artist in all forms and loved teaching her grandchildren how to draw.

Ruth is survived by one sibling, her four children, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her Swedish family.

Interment will be at the Wakefield Cemetery, 412 7th St, Wakefield, Nebraska.
