Joanne Warner McBride, 84, of Milam, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas.
Joanne was born in Groves, Texas, on February 22, 1937 to William Byron Warner and Monnie Lou Vickers Warner.
Joanne was a long time resident of Milam, Texas, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church, now called The Refuge Church. She worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant for several companies in Beaumont and Lufkin, Texas, and retired from HMT Tank Service in Beaumont, Texas. Some of her favorite things were cooking for family and friends, canning fig preserves, picking and shelling pecans, and gardening and growing irises.
She is survived by her daughter Rana McBride Bergeron and son-in-law Roger Bergeron of Lumberton, TX, grandsons Christopher Bergeron of Orangefield, TX and Colin Bergeron of Rose City, TX,
brothers Hilton Warner and Fayne Warner of Milam, TX, numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family of cousins and wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Salter, brother Bill Warner and nephews Trae Warner, Brett Warner and Austin Warner.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 27, 2021, from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas, with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 PM at Vance E. Vickers Sr. Cemetery with Bro. George Ross officiating under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with burial to follow.
