Mom was born 98 years ago to Joseph and Catherine (Alt) Blau, sixth of 10 children and was raised on a farm near Plain, WI. Marge met Roy Reeson at a dance in Spring Green and later married on May 17, 1947 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Ridgeway, WI. They were blessed with four children and while farming south of Mount Horeb, Mom worked as a waitress at Club 18. In 1971 they moved to town (Mount Horeb) and Mom worked at the Dane County Nursing Home until she retired.
During retirement, she enjoyed many bus tours, several winters in Arizona and a special trip to Germany in remembrance of Dad and his service in World War II. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends, Sunday shopping trips to Madison with her sister, Catherine, playing cards, needlepoint, crocheting and making ginger snap cookies for the grandkids. Most important, was her strong faith, attending church and praying the rosary daily for her kids and grandkids. Independent and strong, she beat cancer twice and even at the age of 95, you could still see her racing her great-grandkids.
We will all miss her dearly. Knowing Dad was waiting for her with open arms, a kiss on the cheek, a quick pinch on the butt and ready to take her dancing in her red dress will bring us comfort, special memories and smiles.
Marge is survived by many loved ones, including her children, Bonnie (Paul) Homb, Richard (Cindy) Reeson, Patricia (Michael) Ustinaowski and Ray's wife, Darlene; nine grandkids; 14 great-grandkids; and one great-great-granddaughter due in March. For all of us who had the privilege to know and love her, our world is a better place and will be a bit smaller without her.
Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
