Funeral services for Robert E. Alsup, 65, 613 Arizona St. SE, will he held in the Palm Chapel of the Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Mr. Alsup died in a hospital here Sunday, June 27, 1954. He was born in Kopperl, Texas, a son of William Jefferson Alsup and Elsie W. Rasberry. He came to Albuquerque from Hobbs about 15 years ago and was in the grocery business until his retirement last year. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Hobbs, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Christ Methodist Church in Albuquerque. Survivors include his wife, Erna (Schuhman) Alsup, two sons, Robert Alsup, St. Francis, KS, and Rea Alsup, Albuquerque; two daughters, Mrs. J. G. (Helen) Schotsch, Pittsburg, PA, and Miss Beth Alsup, Muleshoe, TX. two sisters, Mrs. C. R. (Molly) Waddell, Kopperl, TX, and Miss Erna Alsup, Cleburne, TX; and five grandchildren. The Rev. Paul Morrell will officiate at services, burial will be at Fairview Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be H. E. Fincke, Dan Huffman, Paul Culver, John Coburn, Lionel O'Neal and Leroy Hait.
