Jess Ferrell

Graveside services for Jess Ferrell of Grapevine were held Aug. 8, 2003, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.

Lucas and Thompson Funeral Directors of Grapevine handled arrangements.

Mr. Ferrell, a retired foreman for the Rock Island Railroad died Aug. 6 at his home. He was 96.

He was born March 15, 1907, near Rogersville, TN.

He was preceded in death by: a daughter, Wanda Ruth Ferrell; a step-daughter, Hazel Hepler; brothers Weldon and Ruff; sisters Dora and Moss; and one great-grandson, John Bulman.

He is survived by: his wife, Glennie Ferrell of Grapevine; daughters Cordella Bulman and Edith Corley of Fort Worth; stepdaughters Anna Alexander of Jay, Okla., Clair Grantlind of McKinney and Jewell Moss of Quinlan; a stepson, Mitchell Mayes of Grapevine; sisters Molly Arnold, Bernice Rucker and Nettie Mae Cramer; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Jess also has a cenotaph marker located in the Lindale Cemetery, Jess Ferrell ,alongside his first wife, Mary Jane Ferrell
