Mr. Gathright was born November 11, 1936 to the union of Daucey and Bessie Gathright and passed away August 29, 2007 after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Gathright was owner and operator of James Gathright Dirt Contracting for over 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sons, Donnie Gathright, Ronnie Gathright and Michael Gathright, brother, Cecil Gathright and a sister, Lois Gathright Holley.
Mr. Gathright is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lela Kyle Gathright; daughters, Patricia Rowton and husband George, Helen Gathright and Lisa Gathright; 3 grandchildren, Randy Johnson, Angela Vallery and husband Joel, and Chris Rowton; 3 great grandchildren, Alyssa Vallery, Shanna Vallery and Wade Johnson; sisters, Reba Manning and Floyce Sheets; brothers, Doyle Gathright and J.D. Gathright, and a special thank you to brother Doyle for his steadfast love and support.
Pallbearers will be Mike Trim, Eddie Gathright, Eddie Bull, Joel Vallery, Randy Johnson, Bob Poole, Glen Stewart and W.L. Holley.
