Denise Verret Thompson, 60 of Winnfield, La passed from this life to a better life at 3am Saturday, December 18, 2021, with her husband Bill by her side.
Born Tuesday, February 21, 1961 in New Orleans, La, she was preceded in death by her mother, Sandy Sanders Verret, brother, Roger Dale Verret; and 3 fur babies, Gretchen, Dixie, and Jack,
Those left to cherish her memory include her father, Nicholas Felix Verret, Sr; husband, Bill Thompson; daughter, Brittany Osborn (Steve); son, Alex Thompson; bonus daughters, Jennifer Johnson (Mike), Tina Thompson, and Rebecca Crowe (Doug); brother, Rev. Nick Verret, Jr. (Angela); 11 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Mon, Dec 20, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5-7, and again on Tues, Dec 21, from 9 AM until time of services at 1 PM on with Bro. Mike Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, near Tullos.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Alex Thompson, John Michael Johnson, Justin Johnson, Chad Greer, Zach Thornton, and Justin Cotton. Charles Bice and John Thornton will serve as honorary pallbearers.
