Margaret D. Stone, 75 of Bedford died on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. She was born on June 1, 1946, in Bedford, a daughter of the late William H. and Beatrice (Batzel) Cook. On November 29, 1996 in Bedford, she married Richard O. Stone who survives along with a daughter Tina Pacifico and husband Bob of Altoona; a son Shawn Carter and companion Amy of Pleasantville; a granddaughter Lindsay Krug and husband Josh of Altoona; two sisters, Linda M. Dixon and husband Ray of Bedford; Ethel King and companion Ron of Bedford; and a brother Harry Cook and wife Cindy of Everett; and many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by four sisters: Irma M. Greenawalt, Patricia A. Jay, Bonnie V.M. Baughman, and Brenda J. Varner.

Margaret worked for many years in housekeeping for various motels in the area. She retired after she was diagnosed with Parkinson's. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, and will greatly missed. She is now at home in heaven alongside her dog Duke an angel of the Lord, free of any pain.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Jim Miller officiating. Burial at St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5 - 7p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
