Ida Belle Girouard Pesson, a beautiful, talented, faith filled loving lady passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 peacefully at her residence.
Ida Belle was born on July 26, 1930 to the late Frank and Olphida Comeaux Girouard and was one of nine children to that union.
Belle was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was actively involved in the Ladies Altar Society.
She was an avid artist and gave many hours of volunteer work at the Broussard Community Fair and Craft Booth and was a Charter member of Broussard Community fundraiser, Poo-Yie.
Belle enjoyed reading and keeping up with current news and working in her flowerbeds.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Pam P. Girouard; son and daughter in law, Raymond "RJ" and Jenny Pesson; four granddaughters, Heather Girouard, Crystal Girouard, Gabrielle Pesson and Isabella Pesson and one great grandson, Aidan McNeil.
Ida Belle is now reunited with her beloved husband, Raymond J. Pesson; her parents, Frank and Olphida Comeaux Girouard, Sr; seven brothers and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Monday, December 20, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard. Fr. Louis Richard will be the celebrant. Following the mass, Ida Belle will be laid to rest with her husband at Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Monday service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Karl Girouard, Steve Girouard, Lyle Girouard, Aidan McNeil, Dane Girouard and Hank Girouard. Neil Reaux and Brad Girouard will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Quality of Life Services and their staff, especially John and Kathryn Williams for looking after Belle the past few years and Hospice of Acadiana for being with us in our time of need.
