Edward Edmond "Brother Ed" Girouard, 90, passed away Wednesday April 11, 2018, at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home.

He was a native of Broussard and a resident of Gonzales. Ed was a US Navy World War II veteran and a retired shift foreman. He was a Knights of Columbus member who enjoyed golf, fishing, camping and was an LSU sports fan.

Ed is survived by his 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Lyle and Elizabeth, Dane and Sharon, Randy and Pam, Brad and Starlet; 1 sister, Ida Belle Girouard Pesson; 16 grandchildren, Nikki Babin, Justin Girouard, Sara Girouard, Josef Girouard, Jaci LeGaux, Shellie Bradley, Bryn Lamb, Jarrel Girouard, Jonathan Girouard, Jordan Girouard, Stevi Girouard, Jace Girouard, Jenna Girouard, Jessica Girouard, Collin Girouard and Charley Girouard; 13 great-grandchildren, Violet Girouard, Scarlet Girouard, Lily Bradley, Alice Bradley, Ryder Babin, Reese Babin, Isabella LeGaux, Brady LeGaux, Brooklyn Fortune, Andrew Fortune, Cameron Lamb, Tanner Lamb and Landon Lamb.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Deloras B. Girouard; son, Kevin P. Girouard; parents, Frank and Olphida Comeaux Girouard Sr.; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, April 16, 2018, at St. Theresa Catholic Church from 9:00AM until Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM, celebrated by Fr. Jerry Martin. Entombment will follow at Hope Haven mausoleum, Hwy 30, Gonzales. Pallbearers will be Justin, Josef, Jonathan, Jarrel, Jordan and Jace.
