Taylor Sparks,46, White Oak was shot and instantly killed Tuesday morning about 6:00 A.M. by J.D. Puckett,45, in front of Puckett's home. Apparently J.D. Puckett claimed self defense.
Mr. Sparks was a farmer and carpenter.
Born in Irvine,Estill County Kentucky on August 26, 1892 to the late William Thomas & Mary Neal Sparks. He married Lelia Woolery on August 25, 1913 in Estill County.
Surviving with his wife are 3 Sons Arthur Lee Sparks, James Mitchell Sparks, William Sparks, all of Irvine. 6 daughters, Mary Eliza, Pearl Thelma, Alice, Peggy Lois, Beatrice and Corinne Sparks, all of Irvine.
