Janice K. Smith, 47, of 1601 E. Jackson died Thursday, March 31, 1994, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born Dec. 7, 1946, in McDonough County to Eldon and Kathryn Merrill Dean.
Surviving are one son, Curtis Lee Smith, and her mother, Kathryn Pollock, both of Macomb; and one sister, Marlee Neel of Long Beach, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She was a Macomb area resident most of her life. She was a teacher at VIT in Table Grove for 10 years, A.S.U. for two years and Western Illinois University for 10 years.
Cremation has been accorded and private burial of ashes will be in Vermont Cemetery at a later date.
