Grace Y. Roberts, 82, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.
Grace was born Dec. 8, 1939, to Daton and Zeda (Mims) Acord in Morehouse, Missouri.
Grace married William R. Roberts on Jan. 26, 1957. William R. Roberts passed away on Oct. 4, 2014.
Grace worked for Kokomo Center School for 38 years and at Kmart on Dixon Road for over 10 years. She went to Fairview Baptist Church for many years. Grace loved her grandchildren like there was no tomorrow and loved all her grandbabies. She loved to cook meals that brought her family together where they could catch up.
Grace is survived by her children, Greg Roberts, Larry (Tammy) Roberts, Jacqueline Widup, Nancy Randolph; grandchildren, Jason Roberts, Brandon Roberts, Ryan Roberts, Andy Randolph, April Bentley, Cyndi Baker, Sarah Karnes, Nicole Shietze; 17 great-grandchildren; and her first great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Connie (Butch) Mumaugh, Lavadea Gist, Margie (Larry) Rybolt, Janette Garrett, Ethel Ridenour, Karen Harris; and brothers, Daton Acord Jr., Gary (Chris) Acord, Rick (Kim) Acord, Paul Acord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daton and Zeda Acord; husband, William R. Roberts; two brothers and four sisters.
Following the wishes of Grace, cremation will take place and no services are scheduled at this time. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
