St. Paul's Church, Lakeside (Kings Co.) was probably erected in 1810 and cost the neighborhood of 600 pounds. The site and the ground occupied by its surrounding graveyard were the gift of John DEMILL and James CRAWFORD. ..
The side windows in the chancel are inscribed as follows: In memory of Capt. T. Allen OTTY, R.N., Obt. 18th March, aged 74 years And Mrs. Otty, Obt. 7th August 1852, aged 54 -- In Memory of Thoams J. OTTY, R.N., Obit. 20th December 1847, aged 22; Elizabeth OTTY, Obt. 20th March 1874,aged 42. - The south windows are: In loving memory of George OTTY, born Aug. 8th, A.D. 1820; died November 14th, A.D. 1888, ...

The death is announced of George OTTY, Esq., recently Judge of Probates in Kings Co., son of Capt. Allen OTTY, Royal Navy. Mr Otty was born on Strait Shore (St. John) 69 years ago. He studied law in St. John with Wm WRIGHT, advocate-general and was admitted to the bar in 1844. He practiced law for a time both in St. John and Kings Co., and afterwards took up his abode permanently in the latter county. He sat for some time in the Local Legislature and was a member of House of Assembly which Governor Gordon dismissed against the wishes of the Smith administration. He sat during a latter period and retired from public office on acceptance of Judgeship of Probates. He was also clerk of the Peace and for a time treasurer of Kings. His wife survives him, but he leaves no issue, his family consisting of an adopted daughter and adopted son.
