HOULKA - David Lee Haire, 51, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born in Calhoun County on July 14, 1970 to Walter Haire and Martha Skeen Haire.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Hester Haire of Houlka; his daughters, Megan Haire and Monica Haire, both of Houlka; his brothers, Joe (Maggie) Haire of Houlka, Walter Haire of Houston, Jasper "Butch" Skeen (Cheryl) of Texas, and Jesse (Angela) Haire of Slate Springs; his sisters, Carol Smith of Pontotoc, Emma (Stan) Reither of Aberdeen, and Twilene (James) Tutor of Calhoun City; his mother-in-law, Cynthia Bailey; his brother-in-law, Gary Hester of Houlka; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Martha Haire; his sisters, Mattie Shack and Rockie Nevelin, his brother, Jimmy Floyd Haire, and his brother-in-law, David Tutor.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 3:00 at Southern Funeral Chapel in Houston with Brother Robert Earl Alexander and Brother Patrick Black officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 at Southern Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations toward funeral expenses to Southern Funeral Chapel.
