Jennifer Lynn Jones, 47 of Tyrone, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021. She was born in Tyrone on July 18, 1974, the daughter of the late Patrice Marie "Patty" (Cox) and Paul "Ken" Shellenberger who survives. On September 24, 2011 in Burnham, PA, she married John Jones who survives. Also surviving are a daughter: Rebekah Schleppy; sisters: Dawn (Randy) Irvin, and Paula (Travis) Brodzina; and nieces and nephews: Micah and Ellie Rowsell, Noah and Lydia Irvin, and Maci, Kaleigh "KK" and Trey Brodzina. She was preceded in death by a sister Rebecca Ann.
Jenn was a 1992 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and went on to get degrees from Penn College and University of Phoenix. She was currently working for Retreat Behavioral Health. She was also a very active member of Nittany Bible Church and was previously involved with the TAHS Band Boosters.
She enjoyed crafting, gardening, and decorating. She also loved being a part of her Nittany Bible Church LifeGroup and was like the mom of the group. She would always make snacks for everyone and enjoyed getting together with them weekly. She liked her grandkitties but more than anything, Jenn loved her daughter Rebekah and was so proud of her, she was the light of her life.
A 4:00 pm memorial service for Jennifer Lynn Jones will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Nittany Bible Church, 461 Diebler Road, Pennsylvania Furnace, PA 16865, with Pastor Joe Rose officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 2:00 until the 4:00 pm service.
