Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Crossroads Church in Lafayette, Louisiana for Glenda Joyce Vincent, 72, of Lafayette, who passed away on December 11, 2021 peacefully at her home.
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
Glenda, a resident of Lafayette, was born May 29, 1949 in Lake Providence, Louisiana to Johnnie Robert Grey and the former Jessie Lancaster.
Although born with very little, she more than made up for it with her love of Christ and family, generosity, and compassion for all she met. She had the best laugh and hugs one could ask for. As a true servant of Christ, she practiced his teachings by bringing people into her home and helped them heal by touching their hearts.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Frank Vincent; daughter, Carrie Copes and her fiance', Jamie Melazzo, sons, Heith Copes and his wife, Buffy, and Jason Copes; step-son, Matt Vincent and his wife, Sommer; grandchildren, Reese Young, Husker Hayes, Peyton Vincent, Declan Vincent, and Narielle Grant; siblings, Martha Havard, Judy Grey Whitaker, Sandra Mills, Charlon Monceaux, Ronnie Grey, and Steve Grey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Johnnie Sonny Grey, Donavan Ray Grey, and Roger Dale Grey.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be given to Innerfaith Prison Ministry, to help provide Christmas for the children of prisoners.
