Col. William E. Bray
January 20, 1931 ~ December 9, 2021 (age 90)

Col. William E. Bray, 90, formerly of Mt. Holly, NJ, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Brandywine Hall Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Sun He Bray, who passed away in 2012.

Born in West Chester, PA on January 20, 1931, he was the son of the late William C. and Evelyn (Ward) Bray. Bill was a graduate of West Chester High School and Villanova University. He was a proud retired Col. of the United States Army, officially relieving his command in 1987. He fought in both the Korean Conflict, as well as the Vietnam War, of which he was a part of the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of the Green Berets, and at one point played in the Army band. He was a faithful member of New Life Assembly in Wrightstown, NJ, where he taught Missionettes and played the saxophone in the church band.

Surviving are children Karen Dunn (Fran), Deborah Ippolito (Tim), James Bray (Kathy), William E. Bray, Jr. (Tatyana), Maria Brunette (Robert), step-son Jason Miller, 18 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter Christine Selby.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 17th at 5 PM at James Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. Viewing will be held from 3:45 – 4:45 PM prior to the service. Burial will be on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2 PM in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ, with military honors.
