Doris E. Temple (Cavaness), 73, passed away December 8, 2021, at home with her children by her side.
She was born to parents Arthur James and Mary Stella Cavaness, January 7, 1948, in Brady, TX. Doris graduated from San Angelo's Central High School in 1966.
She married the late Archie G. Temple on December 18, 1965, and they lived in San Antonio, TX, where she stayed until relocating to Dallas, TX in 2020. Doris is survived by her son and his wife, daughter, grandson, four brothers, and sister, and let us not forget her two precious dogs Ginger and Tinkerbell. Doris was preceeded in death by her loving husband in January 2012, and brother Jimmy Cavaness in 2010.
For most of her career, Doris was an administrative assistant to various small companies, supporting them in their endeavors. Doris and Archie also had their own bookkeeping business where they maintained financials and prepared taxes for multiple commercial real estate companies and individuals. Doris's favorite pass times were spending time with her family, baking (from scratch), reading and loving on her dogs. She was always doing her best to make sure that everyone was happy no matter what it required of herself. Anyone that had the privilege of crossing her path encountered her unmatched selflessness and sweetness. Doris was also very loyal to her family and anyone she held dear to her, and she was steadfast in her faith. If you know her story you also know she was one heck of a fighter, she didn't back down from challenges and she could turn the world over if she had to.
Even on her last day she was making those around her laugh and smile and telling everyone to enjoy life.
