Willa past away in her sleep, March 24, 2007 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. Willa graduated from Rocky Comfort High School, then continued her education at Pittsburg Teachers College. She taught in McDonald County, Missouri.
December 7, 1938 she was united in marriage with Raymond Akers. He preceded her in death. August 9, 1957, she was United in marriage with Horace Austin Bowman. He preceded her in death.
Willa is survived by her two children, Sharon Akers Bencke and Kenneth Paul Akers, and three grandchildren, Donia Bencke, Duncan Akers, & McKennah Akers.
Willa was a 50 year member of Anderson's Fern Branch of The Eastern Star.
