Turlock - Final services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Norton Mortuary for Hattie Montez Schell, 71, who died Saturday morning in a Modesto hospital.
Interment will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Stevinson.
A native of Missouri, she taught for 11 years in Missouri schools and also in Delhi and Livingston schools, retiring in 1971.
She was active in the Order of Eastern Star in Livingston, in which she was a past worthy matron, the White Shrine of Modesto and the National Retired Teachers Association.
She leaves her daughter, Anne Power of Fremont; a son, Patton M. Schell of Sacramento, four sisters and a brother, all in Missouri, and four grandchildren.
