Wayne Arnold Lewis passed away December 5, 2021, at Tucker Hospice House after a year's battle with ALS.

Wayne was born on Friday, September 13, 1940, to Paul W. Lewis and Belva Christy Lewis.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 52 years, Nancy Morley Lewis, son Robert Lewis (Shana), daughter Aimee L. Hawkins (Quinn), and grandchildren Dylan Lewis, Josh Lewis, Morley Hawkins, and Lindsay Hawkins; his younger brother John Lewis (Becky) and nieces Cindy Ragan, Renee Crawford, and Kim Brannan.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, December 9 at 2 p.m. Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd. Salisbury. The family will receive friends will follow from 4-6 p.m. at Kannapolis Church of Christ, 2315 Concord Lake Rd. Wayne will lie in-state for viewing all day Wednesday at Wilkinson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Kannapolis Church of Christ, 2315 Concord Lake Rd., Kannapolis NC 28083.
