Kenneth Wesley "Pete" Wallace, 90, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on December 6, 2021. He was born to the late Zenas and Anna (Gee) Wallace on November 23, 1931, in Haubstadt, IN.

He graduated from Haubstadt High School in 1949. After High School, he was a soldier in the U.S. Army where he served in the Korean War. In May of 2017, he was able to attend the Military Honor Flight to commemorate his service to the army. After the military, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Dearing on December 2, 1956. They just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. He was always farming and running his mail carrier route until he retired, but his passion was auctioneering. He was a devoted Christian who loved serving the Lord in various ways. He was a member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Fort Branch.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Graper; siblings, Wayne Wallace, Rachel Lefton, Mary Jane Lippert, and Ruth Anna Funkhouser; and brother-in-law, Wayne Dearing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marilyn Wallace of Haubstadt, IN; children, Sandra (David) Schmitt of Haubstadt, IN, Terry (Diane "Annie") Wallace of Fort Branch, IN, Lori (Kevin Spindler) Haley of Haubstadt, IN; son-in-law, David Graper of Fort Branch, IN; sister, Nancy (Glenn) Ramsey of Rhode Island; brothers-in-law, Stanley (Ruth) Dearing and Donnie (Clara) Dearing both of Fort Branch, IN; sister-in-law, Marilyn Dearing of Fort Branch, IN; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.with Pastors Mike Douglas and Gordon Jones officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Owensville, IN and Military Honors Services will be performed by the veterans of Gibson County.
