Barbara A. (Slater) Sanders, 76, of Springfield, IL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday December 6, 2021 in the company of her family. Barb was born in Jacksonville, IL on November 6, 1945 the daughter of William Leroy and G. Marie Slater.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Grandson, Gideon Sanders; and Great Granddaughter Erin Pritchard.

Barb is survived by her husband Marvin Sanders of Springfield; three children, sister and three brothers, thirteen Grandchildren, seventeen Great Grandchildren, as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Barb enjoyed most of all spending time her grandchildren and great grandchildren; even babysitting several of them over the years. She also enjoyed planting flowers, traveling with friends to Arizona and Branson and also enjoyed scrapbooking. She made many scrapbooks for each of her children, grandchildren and started some for her great grandchildren. Marvin and Barb volunteered with the Brazil Gospel Fellowship Mission for many years. They supported and hosted many missionaries for several years and their home was open to anyone at anytime. Barb also enjoyed playing cards with friends and beating Marvin at any game.
